August 2011 – Mount Beauty Holiday Centre’s “New Look” Site

We thought it was about time we had a new website, one that is compatible with iPhone and Smart Phone technology, so here it is!! We have been working on it for some time now and are pleased to present it for all of you to enjoy! We can update it, change it and add to it as time goes by, so who knows, you may even see yourself in a photo on our site one day!

Junior Happy Campers Club

Our Junior Happy Campers Club was launched in December 2010 and quickly grew in popularity with a whopping 143 Junior Happy Campers being awarded a bag of lollies and each having their names etched on the honor roll. A few simple tasks were set to keep the kids busy, designed to encourage proper recycling of waste, safe and courteous holiday co-habitation and clean and tidy campsites.

Summer School Holidays this year will see a new challenge set out for Happy Campers and (we’re currently working on this) a cloth badge for them to show off as being a member of this elite Club!

What’s Happening in Mount Beauty in August

August is the premier ski month in Australia and this year is no exception. Snow levels are around 80cms and Falls Creek Resort Management are making more snow every day. The weather looks to be stunning throughout August, perfect for downhill, cross country and snow shoeing alike. The 21st International Hoppet is about to kick off on Saturday 27th August, a cross country event for the whole family. Individuals can go in the 21km Birkebeiner, the Joey Hoppet for the kids, or the full 42km International Hoppet.
