Welcome to Mount Beauty Holiday Centre & Caravan Park, home of the Happy Camper.

Mount Beauty Holiday Centre is situated in the heart of the beautiful Kiewa Valley, North East Victoria; ideally located a short walk to the town’s centre and supermarket. Cafes, hotel, bike/ski hire, take-away shops, newsagent, milk bar, post office and bus station are all within 200 metres.

Whether you are a family looking for a relaxing holiday, a couple seeking a romantic riverside weekend, or a group looking for an exciting outdoor adventure, Mount Beauty Holiday Centre has something for everyone, from extreme to serene.

We offer a range of self-contained accommodation, function/meeting room, catering facilities, free activities for children, a fully equipped camp kitchen and BBQ area, clean amenities, indoor spa and river-side camping sites with fire pits.

Mount Beauty is a 4 hour drive from Melbourne and is known for it’s scenic beauty, stunning Autumn displays, Spring blossoms, snow sports, mountain biking, walking trails, road cycling, trout fishing, gliding and swimming in the crystal clear Kiewa River.

Mount Beauty Holiday Centre is proudly a family park, run by family for families.

The Gardiner Family purchased Mount Beauty Holiday Centre in 1998 and have been committed to providing the highest standard of accommodation and camping since.

Mount Beauty Holiday Centre is ideally located on the pristine Kiewa River in the heart of the Kiewa Valley. Shady river-sites overlook Mount Bogong, Victoria’s highest peak.

MBHC is the perfect launching place for bush walkers, snow enthusiasts and those who just like to relax by a beautiful river with unsurpassed views.

Q:How do I make a booking?

A:Simply fill out the ‘enquiry’ form and send it off, email us at info@holidaycentre.com.au or phone us on 03 5754 4396.

Q:Do you cater for people with special needs?

A: We do indeed. We have a bathroom which is fitted for people with special needs, most of our Cabins have large doorways allowing easy access and a ramp can be added if required. Simply phone us on 03 5754 4396 to arrange if required.

Q:How do I pay?

A:MBHC accepts cheques (for deposit only), MasterCard, Visa, money orders, direct deposit and cash. We require a credit card number as security for Cabin and Yurt bookings.

Q:Do you allow pets?

A:Yes, we welcome pets by prior arrangement ONLY. During peak periods such as Easter, Summer school holidays and long weekends we do not allow pets. A strict Pets Policy exists and must be adhered to at all times.

Q:What is a ‘Yurt’?

A:A Yurt is a hexagonal Cabin modeled on the Mongolian nomadic Yurt. It is studio style accommodation with beds and the kitchen in the one space. Most of our Yurts require you to BYO bedding (sheets, blankets & pillows) and do not have shower or toilet, so you must use the shared amenities. Yurt 8 is the only exception to this – it has an en-suite shower & toilet and all bedding is supplied. It is booked out at a higher fee to our other Yurts

Q:What is meant by the term ‘self-contained’?

A:Self-contained means that the Cabin has a fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, allowing you to prepare meals, with cutlery, saucepans, kettle, toaster, refrigerator and microwave.

Q:Do I need to bring linen or bedding?

A:All of our Cabins are equipped with linen and bedding, however our Yurts (with the exception of Yurt 8 and the Loft Yurt ) require you to BYO sheets, blankets & pillows.

Q:What times are classed as Off Peak, Shoulder & Winter?

A:As a guide, Victorian School holidays, long weekends, the months of June and September and local events are classified as ‘Shoulder’. The months of July & August are classified as ‘Winter’ and ‘Off Peak’ is during the Victorian school term.
